Edit Submissions  (United States)

Hi Michael.

helferlein_Form 02.00.00

My associate input 4 test records. Next, we attempt to view/edit the records, so we choose module menu Edit Submissions.

When Edit Submissions displays, we see a drop down list contains the four records, but the dropdown list looks like this:

[O] (6/2/2009 8:56 AM)
[O] (6/2/2009 9:02 AM)
...

Although we have set Settings > Form Settings > Settings for Edit Submissions > to show a text field like Business Name, we do not see the Business Name in the drop down list.

1) Are those [O] tokens trying to render the Business Name, but unsuccessfully?

2) Are we suppose to be able to edit the records, changing field/column data if we wish? We don't see a way to edit the records; the records are displaying only, even when we have permission to Edit Module.

Am I doing something wrong?

Well. "Edit" is propably not yet the right expression, because you can't edit the form entries at all. Here you can approve submissions or remove approvals, and delete submissions from the database.

OK. 'Edit Submissions' doesn't yet allow for editing records submitted; it's more like 'View Submissions'.

Michael, but how about that [O] token in the 'Edit Submissions' dropdown list?

Re: Edit Submissions  (Austria)

Brett.

[O] stands for "Outdated", [A] for "Approved" and [X] for "not approved". If approved or not, when it's outdated, you see the [O] - this has to do with the "Keep for days" setting, and is only of interest if you display the submissions.

Best wishes
Michael

Re: Edit Submissions  (United States)

OK. I better understand the '[O]' now, thank you. But one more thing:

When I select a Text field to display in the dropdown list under 'Edit Submissions', shouldn't I see that text field value before/after the '[O] (6/2/2009 9:02 AM)' - for example? I'm not seeing the text field I've selected - Business Name. It should be in that drop down list, yes?

Re: Edit Submissions  (Austria)

Brett,

it should behave like this, yes. Are you sure that something was submitted in this text field? Is it required?

Best wishes
Michael
