I think I found the solution;

In the manifest I added the assemblies node:

<basePath>bin</basePath>

<name>helferlein_Form.dll</name>

</assemblies>
</component>

And the dll does get installed.

I installed the update, it installed fine it seems, but If I add or edit an item, the type dropdown seems empty..
